Lacey's Birthday-Girl's Day

On Saturday Lacey (my sis n law), her mom and grandma and I all spent the day out for her birthday! We got our toes/nails done, shopping, saw her new apartments, and then to dinner at Grimaldi's in Allen. It was so much fun and nice to get a day out with the girls!

I have the sweetest husband ever! He came up with this great idea the other day to have a date night at home once a week. He said we could put the kids to bed at 8, which is no problem because now that it's summer they are staying up late most nights, so for them to go to bed early one night a week is no biggie, they are plenty tired. Also, he thought we could take turns planning them. Isn't that so cute? We don't get to go out on dates that often so this is a great alternative. I am going to try to be creative with my date nights, but if anyone has any ideas for me, please share. For our first date night, he made me go in my room and then when he was done setting it up, I had to come out with my eyes closed and this is what he had laid out:

Jared's Moms 50th Birthday

Jared's mom Lisa, turned 50 yesterday, so the family gave her a big party on Saturday. We grilled fajatas and swam in their new pool! It was so much fun!

Alyssa's 4th Birthday

We went to Alyssa's birthday party a few weeks ago and it was so fun! It was at a park that also had a water play area. The water was a little chilly but that didn't stop the kids! Alyssa is Jared's sisters little girl, and her and Joey are great friends!

Mom's 50th Birthday

Almost forgot to post pictures of this! We had so much fun, Amy, my Dad and I gave her a 50th birthday party! We had Uncle Julios catered, Margaritas and lots of flowers. We asked everyone to bring her a flower arrangement. We were going to do prizes but ended up not doing that! We pretty much agreed that Amy's and my cousin Jana's were the best. Mine were cute too though! ; ) She had a great party and I got lots of good pictures!

Memorial Day weekend

We had a nice 4 day weekend. It started out with our mini-vacation visiting our good friend's The Damiano's in San Antonio. Jared met my friend Angela in the military and we ended up getting married the exact same day, had our first babies at the same time, then our next babies 6 months apart, and then our last two the same month and year! We bought our first house the same month, and the list goes on...It was so fun to see the kids play together and get to hang out with them. While we were there we got to go to our favorite Mexican food restaurant La Fogata and also Rudy's barbecue. We almost went to Fiesta Texas but changed our minds at the last minute. We should have taken way more pictures, but managed to snap a few on our way out. We left there Sunday morning and went from there to Wimberly to visit Jared's grandma for her 80th Birthday. The whole family was there and they had her a little party. It was nice to see her and some of the family we don't get to see very often. We drove home from that Sunday night, and then Monday we went to Jared's parents house for there annual Memorial Day Fish fry and swam in there new pool. So much fun and we were wiped out after that weekend! I think we have finally recovered!

Joey and Joshua are 6 months apart-Joey is older, they had so much fun together and are best buds!

Jack and Jonah are 3 weeks apart, but since Jonah has 2 older brother's he seems so much older and is so much more active than Jack. Jonah loved Jack and Jack is still not sure if he is ready for "friendship" : )

It's been awhile

I have been missing in action! I really feel like no one reads my blog anyway, so if you do then HOLLA!!! Now to update everyone on things around here. We are still searching for a job, things seem to have gotten worse but I believe we are on the way to them getting WAY better. Jared had a second interview at Gateway today, if he gets the job then it will be in the Business Administration Department. We are SO SO excited, what an awesome place to work!! We really feel like this is his job, we are waiting for confirmation on that. I will keep you all posted. The girls are glad it's summer, they did so good in the 2nd grade! Gracie has decided she wants to be in a different class next year, and Kylie says she doesn't care what happens. So I think we are going to split them up. They will be fine since they are big girls now! : ) The boys are doing good and they love having the girls home to play with all day. As for me, my faith has grown so much over the past few months. I am so amazed at the goodness and faithfulness of my God. I am still working for my mom, but not as much because things have slown down at the shop. That's about it. I will keep you posted on the job situation.
